Joining the Vulcan Graduate Programme is simple and straightforward. Our process is designed to help us get to know you — your strengths, interests, and potential — while giving you a clear picture of what it’s like to work with us. Here’s what you can expect from start to finish

Complete an Online Assessment
We’ll invite you to share a bit more about yourself — your motivation, strengths, and how you approach challenges. This might be a short task or creative response.

Face-to-face Interview
If you make the shortlist, we’ll invite you to meet some of our leaders in person. It’s your chance to learn more about Vulcan while we get to know you better.
4.
Offer
Successful candidates will receive a conditional offer — and the exciting news that you’re about to join the team!
5.
Pre-employment Check
We’ll do the necessary background and reference checks while we get ready to welcome you on your first day.

Start Forging your Future
Welcome to Vulcan. Your journey will kick off with onboarding, orientation and meeting the people you’ll with working with as you start your career with us.

Final-year students or recent graduates (within the past two years) with a Qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. You must have the right to work in New Zealand.
Our process includes a short application form, online assessments, interviews, and an assessment centre or final panel. It’s all about getting to know each other and we aim to make it fair and friendly.
The program runs for 24 months, with rotations designed to provide both breadth and depth across the business.
Yes, all roles are fully paid and come with competitive salary packages and benefits.
You’ll transition into the role you were originally hired for. However, if during the program you express a strong interest in a different path, we’ll take that into consideration as you near completion, with the aim of aligning your next steps with both your aspirations and business needs.
Yes! Each graduate is paired with a mentor for career guidance and a buddy to help you settle in and navigate day-to-day life at Vulcan.
Absolutely. You’ll get a mix of formal training, on-the-job coaching, and access to learning platforms.
We’ll run regular check-ins and involve you in business immersions to learn from all levels of the organisation.
